Algonquin Communard with his Marsh Carbine Mark I. And, yes, as you may have noticed, this is actually a (badly) Photoshopped photograph of a Russian soldier carrying a DP-28. But I must admit, this photograph was my inspiration for the Communard Crossbow! That and, well, bolt throwers are frikkin’ awesome.
I Photoshopped out some of the more machine-gunny elements, such as the bipod, and I added a bicycle gear to serve as canister crank. If you look closely, you may even see the word “Marsh.” I left the barrel vents, because it gave me the idea of the internal sheath-like “carrier.” How exactly the torsion translator works, well that’s a closely guarded secret. But if you’d like to know, just swing on down to Innsmouth and I’ll tell you…
As usual, click to enlarge, in which case you can really see my amateur Photoshop job!
