Synopsis
Films Media Group: Set in 1930s Spain amidst the politics of the right and the left, this is the tale of a man of humble origin who kills the town bully in a just fight. His life then takes a sudden turn, entangling him in a spiral of violence and suspicion.
Comments
In 1993, Televisión Española (RTVE) aired a limited series called Los cuentos de Borges, or “Borges Tales.” Consisting of six hour-long episodes, each was an adaptation of a Borges story helmed by a different director. La otra historia de Rosendo Juárez is an adaptation of Borges’ story, “Rosendo’s Tale,” collected in Doctor Brodie’s Report and sometimes translated as “The Story of Rosendo Juárez.”
