A simple Google search reveals hundreds of Joyce-related sites, blogs, museum exhibits, artistic projects, and reflections on the Web. This page collects a few links to some of the larger and more important sites, along with a few curiosities and unique projects. Promulgated by Eric Rosenbloom, this page holds a search engine that allows you to search the entire text of FW for words and strings. I tried “quail” and got “244.30 unlatched, the birds, tommelise too, quail silent. ii. Luathan?”

James Joyce Centre
Located in a restored Georgian townhouse in Dublin, the James Joyce Centre is dedicated to “promoting an interest in his life and works,” and contains members of the Joyce family on its board.
James Joyce Society
Founded in 1947, the James Joyce Society used to meet in New York City’s famous Gotham Book Mart. It’s one of the oldest James Joyce societies in existence!
International James Joyce Foundation Homepage
Now located at the University of Tulsa, the IJJF was founded on Bloomsday 1967.
Zürich James Joyce Foundation
Founded in 1985, the Zürich James Joyce Foundation “promotes research, interaction and a lively exchange of ideas. It hopes to stimulate new readers and emphasizes Joyce’s relevance as a fascinating, human, appealing and comic writer.”
Antwerp James Joyce Centre
Founded in 1991, the AJJC focuses on “the genetic study of Finnegans Wake and its notebooks.”
Finnegans Wake Society of New York
Founded in 1991 and known as the “Wake Watchers,” this society is devoted to the reading and explication of Finnegans Wake.
UCD James Joyce Research Centre
Founded in 2006 at the University College Dublin, the James Joyce Research Centre was established “to promote research on the work of James Joyce. It offers MA and PhD degrees in Joyce Studies and also runs a programme of activities devoted to advancing international academic exchange and public debate about the many facets of Joyce’s legacy.”
James Joyce Parlour of Japan
No longer functional, “the Parlour endeavors to be more than just a library or a museum, a store of objects. It promotes research, interaction, and a lively exchange of ideas and hopes to stimulate new readers of Joyce.” The also published a journal called Abiko Quarterly.

James Joyce Quarterly
Published by the International James Joyce Society, “each issue of the JJQ provides a selection of peer-reviewed essays representing the very best in contemporary Joyce scholarship. In addition, the journal publishes notes, reviews, letters, a comprehensive checklist of recent Joyce-related publications.”
Genetic Joyce Studies
Based in Antwerp and published annually, Genetic Joyce Studies is “an electronic journal for the study of James Joyce’s Works in Progress.”
Hypermedia Joyce Studies
Running from 1994 to 2015, HJS was “a refereed electronic journal of James Joyce scholarship.”

The Rosenbach Museum
The Rosenbach of Philadelphia holds many intriguing documents, including the original manuscript of Ulysses. Their page has a nice image of the first page of the “Calypso” episode and some information on the Philly Bloomsday.
James Joyce Library
John Slocum’s impressive collection of Joyce materials has its permanent home at Yale’s Beinecke Library.
One Hundred Years of James Joyce’s Ulysses
This stellar Web site backs an even-more remarkable exhibit at the Morgan Library in New York City. The exhibit runs unto 3 October 2022.

Carsten Blauth’s site collects comprehensive bibliographical information on Joyce and Joycean criticism. It also features many useful essays!
Laughtears
Gerry Fialka’s site is a celebration of music, film, and literature. The host of the Marshall McLuhan-Finnegans Wake Reading Club (established 1995 in Venice, California), Gerry also produces a podcast that frequently interviews Joyceans.

A small page dedicated to Our Man, giving assorted info and links, this site is based at Japan’s Kobe University.

Started in 2005, this Finnegans Wake wiki hasn’t been updated since July 2021, but its fascinating and useful resources are still available.
Wake In Progress
Stephen Crowe’s project to illustrate the Wake may have stalled in 2018, but the work accomplished is quite nice!
Art Inspired by Joyce
Heather Ryan Kelley
Based in Louisiana, Heather Ryan Kelley is a wonderful artist who draws inspiration from Finnegans Wake. Her “Midden Heap” project is “a series of collages in response to each page of the text using as raw material her own midden: paper ephemera, found objects, etching and relief proofs, reproductions of her paintings, printed matter, and debris of the studio.” My personal favorites are her “Thunderwords,” one of which is framed above my desk!
Louis Le Brocquy
This prominent Irish artist is especially known for his abstract sketches of heads, including James Joyce and Samuel Beckett.
