Detail of the Collier revolving flintlock rifle. When the frizzen/priming box is pushed down into position over the pan, the attached rod turns a mechanism 180°, doling out a measure of powder. The bottom of the priming box serves as the frizzed. Photograph from the Rock Island Auction Company.
